Physical AI Weekly is run by Phynetic. This page lists everything the site keeps about a reader, what it is for, and how to have it exported or deleted. It is written to be read.
Your email address, the domain it belongs to, the state of the subscription (pending, active, unsubscribed, bounced or complained), the time you subscribed and confirmed, and the IP address the subscription came from. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored.
The address is used to send one confirmation email and then the weekly issue. It is mirrored to our sending provider, Resend, as a contact on this newsletter's list so the issue can be delivered; when you unsubscribe it is marked unsubscribed there at once as well.
A pending address that is never confirmed expires after 7 days. No reminder is sent.
Every link in the email and on the issue page passes through news.phynetic.ai before reaching the source, so we can count which items were read. A click records the item, the time, the IP address and the browser string. We look at clicks per item, section, tag and source — not at what one person read — and we use no tracking pixels, so we don't know whether an email was opened.
Each page view is logged with the path, the time, the IP address, the browser string and the referring page, on our own server. No cookie is set for readers, no analytics service is loaded, and no request leaves this domain — every font and script is served from here.

Our own database, on Neon in Singapore, and our own server, on Google Cloud in Singapore. Phynetic staff can see it; nobody else can. It is never sold, and it is shared with no one except the sending provider named above.
A subscriber record stays for as long as the subscription is active. An unsubscribed address is kept, marked unsubscribed, so we never send to it again by mistake; ask and we delete it outright. Click and page-view records are used in aggregate; the retention period for the per-reader rows is being fixed and will be stated here when it is.
Write to news@phynetic.ai from the address in question, or reply to any issue. A person answers: you get everything we hold on that address as a file, or confirmation that it has been deleted — including at the sending provider.
